The Marietta Museum of History invites visitors to take a step back into the rich history of the surrounding area and the Civil War. Located in the heart of downtown, the museum is just east of Laurel Park. One of the focal points of the museum is a comprehensive walkthrough of the Kennesaw House, a cotton warehouse built in 1845, that later functioned as a hotel and a makeshift hospital and morgue during the Civil War. Today, the historic building houses the museum on the second floor.
